Attend Aviation Geek Fest 2014 in Seattle!

Scrolling through my Twitter feed yesterday I came across Aviation Geek Fest. It’s an annual event, and this year they’ve planned a two day bonanza that includes VIP tours of museums and facilities at Boeing’s campuses in Everett and Seattle. The event will be held February 15-16, and tickets go on sale at 2 PM (PT) on Wednesday.

I’ve never attended before, but Saturday’s program includes a tour of the new Everett delivery center. Considering that my wife helpedĀ design the place I figure I should get a chance to take a look at it.

200 tickets are available, and the first 50 to sign up will get a special treat: access to the Space Shuttle Trainer Crew Compartment at the Museum of Flight. Tickets are $30 each day or $50 for both days (plus some ticketing fees imposed by EventBrite).

So, this sounds awesome, but is organized for the same weekend as Valentine’s Day? I’m nerdy, but not stupid enough to tell my wife I’m leaving her alone to go plane-geek out.

Sounds interesting, but the link at airline reporter seems broken right now (“Forbidden” access error).

The link to buy tickets? It works for me, but it says that sales haven’t started yet.

There was some site problem on airlinereporter, I contacted them on twitter and they fixed it. I missed out on tickets, though, apparently they sold out in two minutes. Wow.

I might have 1-2 extra tickets for Saturday
