Hilton’s new winter promo begins on January 6, 2020, and is called “Points Unlimited.” It is a rather simple promotion that could help you earn lots of extra points for any travel during this typically light period.
Points Unlimited begins with 2,000 bonus points on every stay at any of the many hotels in the Hilton Honors portfolio. In addition, when you complete 10 nights, you’ll get an extra 10,000 bonus points. Depending on how your trips overlap, you could earn as few as 12,000 points for a single 10-night stay (2,000 + 10,000) or 30,000 points for 10 one-night stays (2,000 * 10 + 10,000). I value Hilton points at roughly 0.5 to 0.6 cents each, so 30,000 points are worth about $150 to $180.
You can continue earning bonus points on your 11th stay and for every stay after that. There’s no limit with this promotion. Also keep in mind the distinction between stays and nights.
- Registered members will earn 2,000 Bonus Points per stay during the promotion period
- An additional 10,000 Bonus Points will be awarded for every 10th night completed
- Each time a member achieves 10 nights, 10,000 Bonus Points will be awarded, and the member’s stay/night count will reset
- Promotion Stay Date: January 6 – May 3, 2020
Multiple stays often require at least one day separating multiple reservations at the same hotel or moving to a different hotel if you need a place to sleep every night. You might have seven reservations each for one night of the week, but if they are at the same hotel then Hilton is going to roll those up and count it as one stay. You would only earn credit for seven stays if you alternated between different hotels every night.
The Points Unlimited promotion runs from January 6 through May 3, 2020. You must register before completing your first stay in order for it to be qualify.
