Ben over at OMAAT recently shared a blog post regarding Singapore Airlines’ music channel on Spotify. It’s seriously the best channel and I am so happy he wrote about it. I have been listening to it non-stop and I wanted to repost it here in case you missed it. It’s seriously too good not to share and I hope you enjoy it.
It’s a small collection of just three songs (30 mins total), including their boarding, landing, and lounge music (look into Prime Sound site to know more about it). Each song lasts about 10 minutes and if you have ever flown with Singapore Airlines, it’s the most nostalgic 30 minutes ever. It’s perfect to have on in the background if you’re just relaxing, studying, or working from home. You can give it a listen by clicking here.
And for the adventurer in all of us, you will surely remember this ad from British Airways. To this day, I still think this is the most incredible ad for any airline. It’s just a shame that actually flying with British Airways nowadays doesn’t invoke the same emotions…
The visuals are amazing but the soundtrack and narration are what truly make this ad even more exciting and memorable. I searched high and low to find the original soundtrack for the ad and thanks to a comment on YouTube, I was able to find the artist. The song is called “The Aviator” by Helen Jane Long. The song itself is pretty amazing and if you love it, you will surely enjoy the rest of her Intervention album as well. You can find a link to the album on Spotify here.
I know we can’t travel at the moment but hopefully, we will be able to take to the skies soon. But until then, I hope these aviation-themed playlists bring a little smile to your face.
What do you guys think of these two playlists? Are there any more that I missed? Please let me know in the comments section below.
