Emirates Airlines first class lounge has been closed for over a year due to the pandemic. The large sprawling lounge at Emirates home airport in Dubai is appears to have reopened as of July 1, 2021. Reports on flyertalk say the B concourse First Class lounge is open, along with all amenities.
Since the closure of the first class lounge, first class passengers have been using the Emirates business class lounge. On my Emirates First class flight in the new emirates suite, in April, I did not get to experience the First class lounge. Instead there was section of the business lounge portioned off for First class passengers.
The temporary First class lounge inside the business class lounge did offer an al la carte menu. The fancier Moët & Chandon bar was repurposed as dinning area for first class passengers.
Other amenities in the temporary lounge included sleeping chairs and a sitting area.
Although the business class lounge was an alright solution during the downturn in travel. Emirates is ready to make a roaring comeback and is bringing back full services. With thousands of seats added to the summer schedule Emirates has 30 A380s reactivated on 18 routes.
If you are lucky enough to be flying Emirates First class any time soon, you can expect the full experience. Inflight service has been fully restored and now ground service is nearly back to normal too. Be sure to stop by for a complimentary spa treatment and explore the entire Emirates First class lounge.
