Through July 5, 2017, Citi is offering a 10% bonus on transfers to Etihad.
Point transfers must be completed by June 5, 2017 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
Is This Transfer Bonus a Good Deal?
Any bonus is better than no bonus when transferring to the same mileage currency, but Citi has offered better transfer bonuses to Etihad in the past. Both at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 there was a better transfer bonus of 25% offered.
Etihad isn’t necessarily a very family program, but there are some great values with Etihad miles. Omar wrote about his 100,000 honeymoon last year that was booked with points and miles and included redeeming Etihad Guest miles for Etihad business class.
Note that a major shortfall of Etihad miles is that they expire after 24 months and there is no way to extend your miles. Make sure you have a use for the miles before you decide to transfer!
