The Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach is located on the island of Phu Quoc. Specifically, it is located in the northern part of the island, away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown Phu Quoc area. From the airport, it’s about a 45-minute drive to the Long Beach area and once you’re there, you’ll feel like you’re in a whole new world. The northern tip of the island is a little remote but I think it’s beautiful with its white sand beach and architecture that feels like it was transported from a small European village. The resort is located next to and offers easy access to the VinWonders and VinSafari theme parks and the Grand World entertainment complex.
The resort itself is massive and the grounds are spacious and beautiful. The Sheraton Phu Quoc offers a variety of accommodation options for couples and families, ranging from deluxe rooms to spacious suites and private villas. Each room is elegantly designed with modern amenities, including soft bedding, flat-screen TVs, and private balconies or terraces offering ocean or garden views.
On this trip, we booked an ocean-view room for our 4-night stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for two adults and our luggage. The room was furnished with a very comfortable king-size bed, a small desk, and a corner sitting area.
The large windows let in plenty of natural lighting and the balcony had a small sitting area to enjoy the views outside. It was a little small but it was big enough to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning before getting started with our day.
As a Bonvoy Gold member, we were provided with this welcome gift in the room. Bonvoy Gold doesn’t get you much in America so this was a nice touch.
Room amenities included a safe, water kettle, mini-fridge, robes, and an iron/ironing board.
The en-suite bathroom was beautiful with white marble countertops, a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. Gilchrist and Soames bath and body products and other toiletries were provided for our use.
The Sheraton Phu Quoc has several dining options, catering to both Asian and Western appetites. But on this trip, we only ate at the main restaurant for breakfast before heading out each day. The breakfast buffet spread was massive with numerous stations serving up dim sum, pho, made-to-order omelets, and other dishes such as Indian, western, and Japanese. I don’t remember the exact price but I want to say the breakfast buffet was only $15 or so, which was a great value.
The resort grounds are massive and well-maintained. The large infinity pool overlooking the ocean was a great place to spend the day and the swim-up bar had a great selection of reasonably-pirced drinks. We spent a lot of time out here.
The fitness center had a decent selection of cardio and strength equipment and the spa offered a variety of wellness treatments.
If you’re staying here, you’re most likely headed to the VinWonder theme parks. The resort offers a free shuttle from the resort to VinWonders, GrandWorld and VinSafari, starting from 8:30 AM to 12:15 AM.
Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Bottom Line:
This is not a five-star resort by any means but overall, I enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort. I thought the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and the hotel amenities were enjoyable. The location was great and the easy access to VinWonders made it very convenient for visiting the theme parks. But even if you’re not here for the theme parks, I would still recommend this area as it’s quieter and more secluded than the southern part of the island.
