Alaska Airline’s Salmon Thirty Salmon delivered approximately 18,000 pounds of Copper River salmon just after 6:30 this morning at Sea-Tac airport with the red carpet rolled out.
Trident Seafoods, Ocean Beauty Seafoods, and local chefs were on hand to oversee the delivery of the fresh salmon. After Alaska Airlines’ first salmon-filled flight of the year arrived, the captain of the Wild Alaska Seafood plane personally presents an extremely large salmon and hands it off to the waiting chefs.
Alaska Airlines will continue to deliver Copper River salmon daily, along with other seafood to the Lower 48 states until the Copper River season is over later in June. This year’s season is expecting a higher run of salmon, which is great news for salmon lovers.
