Alaska Airlines has an extensive route map. The airline has a large list of city-pairs to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico. Alaska Airlines flies to Liberia and San Jose in Costa Rica and will begin service to Belize later this year. Tickets to Belize will go on sale in June, 2021.

There are two ways to redeem these certificates:
- Option 1: Add the gift certificate to your alaskaair.com account. Once signed in, go to your wallet activity page, and choose the “deposit a certificate” option. There is no limit on the number of gift certificates that can be added to wallet
- Option 2: Use your gift certificate at time of purchase. There’s a limit of 4 gift certificates per transaction when used outside of the wallet – as described in Option 1

- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates may not be redeemed until 24 hours after purchase
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates must be redeemed online at alaskaair.com and are only valid toward the purchase of eligible travel on Alaska Airlines flights 1-999, 1000-1999, 2000-2999, and 3300-3499
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates may only be redeemed for new ticket purchases and cannot be applied towards service fees, or additional fare for exchanged or partially used tickets
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates may be applied to transportation sales tax, security fees, and Passenger Facility Charges
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates are a valid form of payment for any fare type
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates are nonrefundable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, check, or credit
- If the value of your Alaska Airlines Gift Certificate is insufficient to cover the full value of the ticket you wish to purchase, you may pay the difference with a credit card. If the ticket price is less than the value of the Alaska Airlines Gift Certificate, a credit balance will remain on the Gift Certificate until it is decreased to zero
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed through a travel agency
- Up to four Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates can be applied on the billing page toward one travel reservation. There is no limit on the number of gift certificates that can be added to your Alaska wallet account online. - If an Alaska Airlines Gift Certificate is redeemed for a non-refundable ticket, and the ticket is canceled within 24 hours of the time of purchase, the refund will be issued in the form of a new non-expiring gift certificate. If an Alaska Airlines Gift Certificate is redeemed for a non-refundable ticket, and the ticket (or a portion of the ticket) is canceled more than 24 hours after time of purchase, the value of the unused portion of the ticket will be returned as a new credit certificate. Any portion of the credit certificate value not redeemed by the stated expiration date will expire on that date. The applicable fare terms and conditions will govern ticket exchanges
- If an Alaska Airlines Gift Certificate is redeemed for a refundable ticket and the ticket is canceled any time before travel, the refund will be issuesd in the form of a new non-expiring gift certificate
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates have no expiration date
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates are fully transferable, but may not be bartered or sold
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates cannot be applied to add/collect fees or used to purchase Alaska Airlines Vacations packages, air cargo services, services offered by Mileage Plan™ hotel, cruise or car rental partners, or additional gift certificates
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates cannot be used to purchase trip protection, or hotel and car reservations
- The value of Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates is in U.S. dollars
- The risk of loss and title for Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates pass to the purchaser or transferee upon our electronic transmission to the recipient or Alaska Airlines, whichever is applicable. Alaska Airlines is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates
- Alaska Airlines Gift Certificates are VOID if altered or obtained through illegal or fraudulent channels, or in a manner that violates the Mileage Plan conditions of membership

Cancellation Policy

Ticket Change Policy
- Alaska Airlines current Peace of Mind waiver covers change and cancellation fees for all flights booked through December 31, 2020. Differences in fare may apply
- Beginning January 1, 2021, change fees will be eliminated on Main and First Class fares everywhere Alaska flies. Differences in fare may apply
- Saver fares purchased through December 31, 2020 cannot be exchanged, but they can be canceled for future travel credit under the Peace of Mind waiver. Saver fares purchased in 2021 cannot be changed or canceled
