My Alaska Airlines MVP Gold 75K welcome packet arrived to my house about two weeks after receiving a status match to Alaska Airlines Top tier program. I am very excited about my new status with Alaska Airlines. I have not had status with the airlines in nearly eight years.
For a short time after the NWA/Delta merger I flew Alaska and held MVP Gold status. As I was worried about the merger between the NWA/Delta Air Lines, Alaska at the time was my best bet, yet due to work travel locations and network I moved back to Delta, and then on to American when Delta destroyed their frequent flyer program. Now Alaska has expanded to over 79 nonstop destinations from Seattle and I couldn’t be happier to be back with Alaska. Farewell American, I already said sayonara to Delta, today is a new day and Alaska is where it’s at!

In my MVP Gold 75K welcome package was new luggage tags, a membership card, 4 board room passes and a welcome letter congratulating me, thanking me, and reminding me of my newly earned benefits.
The welcome packet is fairly basic, but I wasn’t expecting much. After all I am just glad to get this as other airlines have stopped sending elite packets. American Airlines has had issues the last several years getting elite packets to top tier flyers.
Thank you Alaska, I am looking forward to flying with you for 2016. I plan to consume and enjoying more Beecher’s Cheese, Tom Douglas designed meals, and Seattle’s Sun Liquor – yumm yumm!
