The American Air Flagship first amenity kit is actually the same amenity kits used on international routes that AA serves and provides to customers in Business Class. The amenity kit was provided to me when I flew Flagship First from LAX-JFK on a redeye on the new A321T. Interesting enough, when I flew the return portion of the trip on the 767-200 from JFK-LAX I was not provided with any amenity kit in first. I am not sure if this was a catering mistake or if the amenity kit is a product enhancement with the launch of the new A321T.
On the flight I was provided with an “American Airlines collect series” amenity kit. The Akhassa amenity kits is “the first of the American Airline reusable traveler series.” Per the flier in the amenity kit:
“The best journeys leave you feeling refreshed. That’s why we’re pleased to offer this tailor-made amenity kit with essentials to keep you comfortable during your trip. After all, the smallest things make a world of difference.
From Akahass skincare to warm socks, this kit gives you the comforts of home, onboard. The bag is accented with an iconic Eames Office design and is useful travel accessory for all your personal belongings.
From everyone at American Airline, welcome, relax and enjoy your flight”
These amenity kits offers all the basic items usually found in airplane amenity kits including some very nice Akhassa products. Akhassa was a brand that I had never heard of, but after doing some research online and reading online I learned that Akhassa is a modern beauty product line based on the natural benefits of herbs, plants, fruits and essential oils indigenous to Asia. Akhassa’s paraben-free formulations capture the ambiance of Asia with unique fragrances and therapeutic value. The product is great and smells wonderful and the amenity kits include two 10ml tubes of light and refreshing Akhassa body lotion and face moisturizer, along with lip balm—three essential items needed on long haul flights to keep the skin hydrated!
Other items included in the amenity kit include a refreshing moist towelette, ear plugs, a simple American Airline plastic pen, socks and eye mask, toothbrush and toothpaste, and tissues. The amenity kit doesn’t include any extra items like shoe horns or shoe polish which Delta Tumi Kit offers, however it does offer all the essentials needed for a long haul flight and I am quite satisfied with the kid. Additional, the kit feels very sturdy, and the zipper functions properly, two important assets if one plans to use the bag again after the flight.
To Thank my readers, I will be giving away 4 of these kits that were provided to me by American Airlines. Just leave a comment below by 3/17/14 and you will be entered into the giveaway. I use Random.org to select the 6 winners and will notified the winners by email and then will mail the amenity kits by USPS to the address of their choice. Thanks for reading and good luck!
