A British Airways A380 attempted to land at Vancouver International Airport on May 11, 2016 and just a few feet before the plane touched down ground the pilots aborted the landing and took the super jumbo jet around to attempt to land a second time at the Canadian airport. The entire landing was caught on video by a fellow AV Geek and it’s pretty amazing to watch as it appears the plane hovers just inches above the runway before ascending back into the air for a second attempt.

At about 20 seconds in on the video, or around 800 feet per FlightAware the A380 starts to pick up speed again, yet do to physics, the plane continues to descend and then hovers just feet above the runway as it regains speed and takes back off into the evening sky!
This is an awesome catch on film and an incredibly skilled go around by the captain of the A380! Thumbs up to both of you!
