The new Delta One Lounge in Los Angeles must be among the best lounges in North America. From dedicated service to massage chairs and a fantastic bar and made to order food there is so much to love about this newly opened lounge. I recently had the opportunity to visit the lounge while flying LATAM to Brazil from Los Angeles. My experience at the lounge was flawless. This is not the typical Delta sky clubs and lounge experience. A full review will come later, but for now I just want to share my dining experience and the great meal that I enjoyed at Delta One Lounge located at LAX.
Delta One Lounge Menu & Service
My visit to the Delta One Lounge was during the late afternoon in December 2024. As it was already 4:30pm by the time I entered the lounge, the Delta One Lounge was serving Lunch and Dinner. The same menu is utilized throughout both services. Food wise, everything on the menu is complimentary. There is no buffet in the lounge, except for dessert. If you want food, you must order from your server.
I love the regional take on the food. The Delta One Lounge also offers both large and small. So if you’re feeling peckish or really hungry there’s an option for everyone. Another nice take is the sushi and bento boxes. A great option for those traveling to Japan or who just love Sushi like me!
I opted to start with a delish and refreshing beet salad. This was a great choice and all around delicious.
For my main course I couldn’t resist the Dungeness crab conchiglie. And wow was I impressed! The pasta was cooked to perfection, al dente like it’s suppose to be. A party in my mouth, every bite was scrumptious.
Another nice take on food service is when each item was brought the food runner described the dish. Even before ordering the server asked about allergies. The service here was more similar to a high end restaurant than an airport lounge. I was 100% impressed.
My partner was not as hungry so he only opted for one course. The fish tacos. Very California and hit the right spot. All around great in his opinion. I liked it too. We also loved that it came out with habanero hot sauce on the side. A perfect way to spice it up.
Dinner can be rounded out by dessert or cheese. Guests can either order from the Delta One menu or visit the desert table. The menu is below.
We both opted to skip dessert but the dessert table has just about everything you can imagine. I wish I indulged but sometimes one must hold back. Or opt for an extra cocktail instead 😀
Delta One Drinks
The Delta one drink menu is very elaborate offering both complimentary cocktails and in the very Delta Airline way, buy up options. I think the buy up options cheapen the experience, but Delta is always trying to maximize profits. So here they go again.
Wine was surprisingly not local and more worldly than not. With the large California wine industry I would expect more local wines. Yet again, I guess Delta is playing into the global connectivity this lounge offers. Wine was mostly cheap, ranging from $12-$22 a bottle if purchasing retail.
I did like the play on cocktails. Representing cities that Delta and their partners fly to from LAX. The GRU (Picture below) was delicious. Perfect send off for my flight to Sao Paulo!
Bottom Line
My visit to the Delta One lounge was great and my meal was by far the highlight of this lounge. A huge step above any Delta sky club! Delta one lounges across the USA are likely the most premium lounges within the States or all of North America. This is a great perk of flying Delta One international business class or one of their partner airlines like Air France, LATAM, KLM, Korean Air and Virgin Atlantic who also have access the Delta one Lounge. The lounge is open daily and I encourage you to visit on your next trip!
