Etihad grows again with ANOTHER partnership announced! Just yesterday I wrote about how Etihad is growing a virtual network with code shares and partners all over the world. Unlike Emirates who is the Middle East carrier with few partners, Etihad airline is growing through code shares and partnerships. Today Etihad announced a partnership with Royal Air Maroc.
Royal Air Maroc is the flag carrying airline of Morocco and the new partnership will allow Etihad Guest members to earn and redeem miles to an additional 74 destinations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and more. At this time no codeshares have been announced, but instead only loyalty program reciprocity. I would not be surprise to see a code share formed in the near future.
However, Etihad Guest members, if you are not aware, Royal Air Maroc is not known for their service or quality and are miles behind the Etihad inflight experience. Receiving only a 2 star skytrax rating, Royal air Morac is on the same quality as Jetstar Pacific, Ryanair, Sudan airways, and other less than to be desired airlines. So be aware and be careful before redeeming those high valued miles on a low valued airline.
