LoungeBuddy is partnering with The Club, a network of independent airport lounges in the U.S., to provide a 100% rebate on day passes purchased between November 1 and December 31, 2015. You’ll still need to buy your day pass up front using the LoungeBuddy app, but you’ll then get the same amount returned to you in the form of LoungeBuddy credit. You can use that credit to buy a second pass to The Club on another day or to visit one of the other lounges that LoungeBuddy partners with (including the Alaska Airlines Board Room, Plaza Premium, and Minute Suites).
LoungeBuddy is a free app for iOS and Android that provides one of the most comprehensive databases on airport lounges. Not only that, but the information is available offline so you can access it even when you’re in the air or traveling internationally without a data connection. Pictures, amenities, and locations are easy to find.
If you have elite status, a special credit card, or are traveling in a premium cabin, LoungeBuddy can alert you to free access or offer the chance to buy a day pass to other lounges. For example, I completely forgot that my American Express Platinum Card provided access to the Delta Sky Club in Tokyo when I connected their last spring. (Not because I’m unfamiliar with the benefits, but I just don’t fly Delta very often — a key requirement.)
A total of 1,000 rebates will be provided on a first come, first served basis, and the offer page online is updated to let you know if any rebates are still available.
The Club has locations in Seattle, San Jose, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas, Cincinnati, and Atlanta. Like many airline-operated lounges they provide a quieter seating area, free snacks and alcoholic drinks, Internet access, televisions, and reading material.
Are you a first-time LoungeBuddy customer? You can save an additional $10 if you use my referral link to sign up. Get $10 in credit to use for your first purchase with the code travelcodex. If you use it with this holiday promotion that means you’ll only pay $25 to visit The Club and as a result will only receive a $25 rebate, but it does mean less upfront investment. See the full Terms & Conditions for more information.
