California has done a pretty good job of getting its residents vaccinated thus far but the state is making one final push to get as many people vaccinated as possible. To give its residents some more incentive to get vaccinated, the state is giving away $1.5 million dollars in prizes including dream vacations to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Anaheim (Disneyland), Palm Springs and San Diego; free tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain and $50 grocery gift cards. All you have to do is get vaccinated. It doesn’t matter which vaccine you get as long as it’s one of the four administered by the state.
However, if you’re not vaccinated yet and want to get in on this deal, you need to do so by June 30, 2021, to be eligible. The dream vacation drawing will be held on July 1, 2021.

- See the Giants play in San Francisco – win a five-night stay in San Francisco and tours of some of the major highlights, including tickets to a Giants game, for four people.
- Enjoy a spa in Palm Springs – win a two-night stay at the Ritz Carlton and spa treatments for two.
- Say Hi to Mickey and Friends in Anaheim – win four two-day park hopper tickets to Disneyland, four tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm, a two-night hotel stay, $500 gift card to South Coast Plaza, dinner for four at the Anaheim White House and transportation.
- Watch the Lakers play in Los Angeles – win a three-night stay at the JW Marriott, two floor seats for a Lakers home game, four Universal Studios Express tickets, and access to local museums.

All of these prizes include an additional $2,000 for misc. expenses. All vaccinated Californians over the age of 18 are automatically entered to win and there’s nothing more for you to do. However, you don’t get to pick which dream vacation you win. If you win; you win.
Tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain
From now until they run out, Six Flags Magic Mountain has donated 50,000 tickets to local vaccinations sites. To get one, all you have to do is sign up at a participating clinic to get vaccinated and receive a complimentary ticket upon your first or second dose. $50 Grocery Gift Cards
Not yet vaccinated? Now’s the time. Get your vaccination now and get a $50 gift card! Choose between a $50 virtual cash card, Kroger card, or Albertson’s card. Only the first 2 million vaccinated starting May 27, 2021, will get this $50 card. This also doesn’t apply to those of us who are already vaccinated.
You’re eligible to receive a $50 card if you:

- Are aged 12 and older,
- And get vaccinated starting on or after May 27.

I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding tax dollars being used to incentivize vaccinations and my intention is to not get into that debate here.
