Alaska Airlines has an impressive network of airport lounges at their largest gateways. They are a welcome relief from the overcrowded gate waiting areas. The Alaska Lounge price structure will change on October 1, 2021 so join or renew now to take advantage of the current pricing.
The Alaska Lounge
Until recently, the Alaska Airlines lounges were known as “The Boardrooms”. Now, the lounge network has been rebranded at the Alaska Lounge. Alaska Airlines does an excellent job of designing and operating lounges that reflect the tastes and cultures of the cities they are located in. They feature foods, microbrews and wines that are locally sourced. Alaska Airlines recently opened a new lounge at San Francisco International airport, you can read that story here.
Food and snacks
Indulge in a tasty variety of fresh, pre-packaged options available throughout the day. In the morning, choose from favorites like yogurt and granola, steel-cut oatmeal, and freshly made pancakes. In the afternoon and evening, enjoy hearty soups, salad, veggies, cheese, turkey and crackers, and more.
Beverages and cocktails
Enjoy soft drinks, fresh Starbucks® coffee – including lattes and cappuccinos, and Teavana® tea while you relax. Where allowed by local restrictions, the 21+ crowd can select from West Coast wines, local brews, and custom-crafted cocktails, including our famous Bloody Mary.
Productivity tools
Our lounges feature fast Wi-Fi and easy access to outlets. When it comes to doing business, it’s our pleasure to keep you connected.

New Pricing Structure
The Alaska Lounge has provided access to all of the lounges in the Alaska Lounge and partner network In addition, the pricing of the Alaska Lounge has been based on Alaska Airlines’ elite status on a sliding basis. Lounge membership covers the member plus up to two guests. The new pricing model will have two levels:
- Alaska Lounge (Alaska-operated lounges) and
- Alaska Lounge Plus (Alaska-operated and partner-operated lounges).
The current pricing ending September 30, 2021 is
The new pricing effective October 1, 2021 will be:
- Standard membership with access to Alaska-operated Lounges will start at $350 for elites, $450 for non-elites and
- Alaska Lounge+ Membership with access to Alaska-operated Lounges and more than 90 partner lounges will start at $500. Current memberships will be grandfathered into Alaska Lounge+ until the next membership renewal.
You have only a few days to purchase a new membership or renew an existing membership before the new pricing model take effect. If you have a premium-rewards credit card that has an ancillary airline fee benefit, your actual cost of membership could be much lower. I use my American Express Hilton Aspire card to renew my membership because it has a $250.00 statement credit. I have been renewing my Alaska Airlines Lounge membership for just $50.00 per year.

Final Thoughts
Like Alaska Airlines, the Alaska Lounge has its own spin on lounge design with local food and beverage service. Where else can you get breakfast from a “pancake printer”? In my opinion, the Alaska Lounge represents a good value in pricing. Until September 30, 2021, you can take advantage of the old pricing and be grandfathered into the Alaska Lounge+ membership until your next renewal.
