The United Club at John Wayne Airport (SNA) is a comfortable and quiet lounge and is located on the Mezzanine level across from gate 9. This is probably the smallest United Club that I have ever been to but SNA is also a small airport so I guess it’s all relative. The lounge is a typical United Club so it’s still $50/day and offers all the same services as any other United Club. Complimentary alcohol and drinks and the standard veggies/dip, cheese, cookies option are provided.
If you’ve ever been to one United Club, then you’ve been to them all. This one is no different. . . just half the size. Certain Priority Pass members (not the Select membership), business/first class passengers traveling on an international itinerary and those having United Club passes are granted entry. There are no shower facilities or private work spaces here and they do not make any gate or boarding announcements.
Unfortunately, John Wayne is a tiny airport and there are only two lounges here, the United Club and the American Airlines Admirals Club across from gate 8. Personally, if it wasn’t for my Priority Pass membership, I wouldn’t pay $50/day to use this lounge. SNA is a great airport and has done tons of upgrades. Go walk around and make use of that $50 you would have spent on the lounge entry alone.
