Qantas has been having difficulties in the market down under for some time now and their competition from Virgin has increased significantly, especially this year since Virgin has moved from a LCC scheme to a full service airline and is now offering business class travel domestically.
However today Qantas announced a number of changes to their schedule and have even decided to postpone delivery of 15 Dreamliner 787 that will supposed to all be delivered in 2012! Skeptic are wondering if Qantas will actually take delivery of
these aircrafts at all now, for at this time they have not announced a new date of delivery.
In addition to postponing the 787 Qantas announced they are dropping service in May 2012 on the following routes:
Further more Qantas will be reducing the number of seats on the following routes by changing their current frequencies to smaller planes.
