Qatar airways flew the first flight with their new Qsuites business class product just two days ago, on June 24, from Doha to London. Qsuites are being installed on Qatar’s B777 and A350 aircraft and as installation progresses there should be plenty of opportunities to try out Qsuites on a mileage booking.
As of now, Qsuites are available on the following routes:
- Doha to London
- Doha to Paris
- Doha to New York (JFK)
The two flights between Doha and Europe in business class will cost 42,500 miles each way when booked with American Airlines miles while the flight between Doha and New York will cost 70,000 miles each way. There are plenty of other programs that can be used to book Qsuites as well, including British Airways, Japan Airlines, Qantas, and more. Use the Award Maximizer to compare prices for your specific origin and destination.
If you want to confirm availability before you call into American Airlines (or another program) to book, the British Airways website is the best place to look. When you search, you need to make sure that the flight that shows availability actually has Qsuites seats as there are other flights that still don’t. The Points Guy reports that there isn’t availability showing for the next few months, but that could change at anytime.
I’m really excited about flying Qatar’s new Qsuites business class, but it sounds like I won’t be doing it anytime soon!
