The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge at Taipei Airport (TPE) is located in the international departure area of terminal 2. After you clear security and passport control, make a right towards the B/C gates. Head towards the duty-free shopping area, take the escalator up to the fourth floor and follow the signs. The lounge will be located in the back right-hand corner.
Access to the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge is open to business class passengers traveling with Singapore Airlines or any of their Star Alliance partner airlines and Star Alliance Gold members, regardless of travel class, when flying on any Star Alliance flight. The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Taipei is open from 5:30 AM to 5:45 PM daily.
The lounge is simple yet elegant in design with rich leather chairs, soft ambient lighting and a beautiful communal workspace for passengers to rest, relax and be productive before a flight. Universal outlets are provided by most of the seating areas and password-protected WiFi is provided throughout the lounge.
Typical of their outstation lounges, this SilverKris Lounge is on the smaller side with no dedicated area or services for first class passengers. The lounge is one long room with the main seating area located in the center. The open-roof and large windows of the lounge let in a lot of natural lighting and make the lounge feel very open and airy.
Shower rooms are available to freshen up in between flights but other amenities are rather limited. There are no recliners, day rooms or other places to lie down and rest your eyes for a bit.
The main buffet and dining areas are located at the far end of the lounge. On the day of my visit, 3:00 PM on a Sunday afternoon, there was a good mix of both hot Singaporean and Taiwanese dishes including beef noodle soup, dim sum, stir-fry vegetables and other Asian favorites.
For drinks, there was a decent selection of sodas and juices and a small offering of spirits, wine and beer. It wasn’t the best offering but I think that’s fairly common for Taiwanese lounges.
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Taipei Airport Bottom Line
The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge at Taipei is a decent lounge. It’s small and not amazing by any means but it does offer a pleasant space to kick back and relax, grab a bite to eat and send off some emails before your flight. The lounge is small but there were never more than a handful of people in the lounge the entire time I was there. It never got crowded or loud, which made the space very relaxing. The catering was both plentiful and delicious and the lounge was kept clean and well-stocked. Overall, I wasn’t disappointed by the SilverKris Lounge Taipei and would visit again over the EVA Air Lounge.
