The Riga Primeclass Business class lounge located in the Schengen area offers a fantastic escape from the extremely hectic Riga airport which seems to be bursting at its seams as more and more people flock to the Baltic states for cheap vacations. The lounge is two stories, is highly functional, has a great ikea-esq to it, and offers plenty of food and beverages to satisfy most travelers.
The lounge dragon was actually very friendly and did laps around the lounge to find people when their plane was departing.
Downstairs there is seating which is meant to be social, but there are also a few tables made for one or two travelers if couches are not your forte.
There is also plenty to eat and drink downstairs with regional favorites, including locally made sparking wine made from apples. It’s very sweet, and one glass was more than enough for me! But then again, I tend to avoid anything that has the name Diva!
Bathrooms are located on the landing between the first floor and second floor. There are no showers in the lounge. Upstairs is a quieter more relaxing seating area which was absolutely empty.
There are computer work stations in the back of the lounge on the first floor. The computers are clearly sponsored by Samsung and are actually Samsung tablets with keyboards.
If you’ve traveled Latvia, but didn’t have the courage to taste their tasty syrupy local spirit, the lounge provides you with one last opportunity.
The lounge offers a view of the gate area, but not that great of a view of the runway
Overall this lounge is a fantastic priority pass lounge and great for relaxing, snacking and drinking with passing through Riga. Be sure not to miss it, as it’s better than many priority pass lounges I have experienced in Europe.
