Last week I shared some free upgrade codes for AwardWallet, which I think is a great service. If you didn’t get one, it’s well worth the $5 to pay for a six-month upgrade yourself. Just this week I was reminded that Megan had 60,000 United miles about to expire. AwardWallet is the only reason I remembered to buy a magazine subscription and keep them active for another 18 months.
However, there were some frustrated voices and I still have many codes left. What to do…
I’ve taken those codes and put them online in a different format. You can now access the Google Docs spreadsheet with 60 upgrade codes. Please follow these basic rules for redemption:
- If you don’t have an AwardWallet account, create one. I’d appreciate if you use my referral link so I can earn more upgrade codes to give away.
- Only use one code. Duh.
- Delete the one code that you take. This way others know which ones are left (the AwardWallet system times out after 5 failed attempts).
- If you try to use a code and it fails, please mark it so I know to check. Don’t delete it.
I’m not going to run an email giveaway. It is an understatement to say it would be difficult to select the winners and then send them 60 unique emails. But I can appreciate your frustration. Just posting the codes and letting you have at it is convenient for me but not always convenient for others. I think this may be a reasonable compromise.
As a caveat, I’m not sure that all these codes are actually valid. I didn’t see the number of upgrades in my account go down by an appreciable number, but when I checked the codes I have left against those that I shared, there were no matches. Odd. I guess we’ll see what happens!
UPDATE: 20 more codes added this morning. I don’t know why, but none of these are duplicates and yet I still have 30 left.
