What is Anthology
When Explora Journeys launched Explora I more than a year ago and Explora II this summer, nearly every guest (including myself) praised the multitude of dining options. Better yet, all restaurants except 1 are included in the price of your Explora cruise. One restaurant that wasn’t part of the cruise price was Anthology. Anthology was the upscale venue where a series of famous guest chefs serving rotated through every few months with a new tasting menu.
Earlier this year Explora Journey reimagined the concept of Anthology. Moving away from rotating chiefs and instead focusing on Explora’s home. The new Anthology offers a multi-course Italian menu curated by Head of Culinary Franck Garanger. Franck has a rich history of fine dining. At the age of sixteen he commenced his career as an apprentice at the Michelin Star restaurant, Le Vert D’ Eau in Angers with French Master Chef Jean-François Piers. He was awarded French Master Chef in the prestigious Maîtres Cuisenaire’s de France in 2008 and was recognized as a member of the Academic Culinaire de France. Needless to say, Franck is the perfect person for the job and the food is divine.
Each dinner reservation at Anthology restaurant includes the Wine Pairing selection and / or non alcoholic beverages. Typically a 200 Euro surcharge. Now free, but only when you book a new reservation between Oct. 1 and Nov. 18, 2024
