The Geneva Airport has two Swiss Air lounges: A Business Class lounge and a First Class lounge. The business class lounge is accessible to those flying intra-Europe or long haul business class on Swiss air and their partners and Priority Pass cardholders. The first class lounge is accessible to first class passengers, Star Alliance Gold flyers, and HON Senator level flyers.
When I arrived at Geneva from New York (see trip report), I was able to visit the first class lounge, but only due to some confusion. Long story short, when I arrived, I asked to use the shower, (the shower and the bathroom for all lounges are located between the clubs) however the club agent was not sure if I could use it for free. He then walked me to the first class lounge to ensure I had access (non-long-haul passengers have to pay 15 CHF) and the first class attendant granted me access to the shower.
After this tiny ordeal, the first class lounge granted me access. So before heading out to explore Geneva, I had a snack and a coffee in the first class lounge.
After a day of visiting Geneva, I relaxed in the business class lounge before my flight (which was later cancelled). In all honestly, the business class lounge did not appear any different from the first class lounge. It was slightly larger, offered similar snacks and alcohol, etc. I forgot to take pictures (sorry I was exhausted and it slipped my mind) but in all honestly, it looked the same!
If you want to visit these lounges and more and are not a Star Alliance Gold member, you can get either get a Priority Pass card or sign up for an Amex Platinum Biz edition). The Amex provides free Priority Pass Select membership (A $300+ value). The other option would be to fly business or first class on a Star alliance carrier. American Express does offer Membership Reward direct transfer to Singapore Air, Air Canada’s Aeroplan, and ANA (all Star alliance carriers), which means your next Business or First Class reward is closer than you might think!
