Don’t forget to check out the schedule for the upcoming Frequent Traveler University at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport, happening April 17 through 19.
This will be the only large event of the year, combining both a regular FTU and a separate FTU Advanced for those more experienced travelers. It’s a great place to learn more about how to earn and redeem your miles and points for high value awards. My own talks tend to focus on issues important to those who still pay for their travel — topics like how why Alaska Mileage Plan is one of the best loyalty programs and how to use ExpertFlyer to search for upgrades or search for fare information.
Tickets to FTU Advanced are already sold out — in Dallas and also an earlier event in San Diego — but you can still buy tickets to the original Frequent Traveler University for just $149. (Accommodations at the host hotel are only $99 if you aren’t local. Many people fly in.)
Here are the talks we plan to give for the original FTU:
- “All About Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan” — Scott
- “Search for Flights Like an Expert on ITA Matrix” — Scott
- “Manufactured Spend Q & A” — Tahsir
We’ll be making several additional presentations for the FTU Advanced crowd, and we’ll be around all weekend if you want to grab a drink and chat some more about your favorite travel adventures or find answers to some burning question.
