Staying on the Vegas Strip just got easier with the new Hilton Doubletree located on Las Vegas Boulevard! Always been a wasteland controlled by MGM and Harrah’s Club/Total Rewards, non-casino award stays on the strip has been difficult. Before, one of the only other options was Priority Club award stays thanks to their partnership with the Venetian/Palazzo. Now, there is a new option because the remodeled Tropicana joined the Hilton portfolio as a DoubleTree Hotel back in January! This means, not only does Hilton offer Hilton Grand Vacation Resorts at the Flamingo and Elara (adjacent to Planet Hollywood) you can now stay directly on the strip, in the middle of the action and earn and burn HHonors point while playing your favorite games in Vegas!
The Tropicana DoubleTree Resort is a category 6 resort, meaning award stays start at 40,000 points per nights. This could be a good redemption for weekend stays, but look for discounted stays Sunday-Thursday when hotels in Vegas often drop below $100 and sometimes even less. This new hotel is a great addition to the Hilton family, a great options for point hoarders, and sure beats the old Las Vegas Hilton (now known as the Las Vegas Hotel) located off the strip behind the Rivera.
Upon your next visit to Vegas, be sure to check out this DoubleTree Hotel and start earning points now! And now through March 31, all stays at the Tropicana earn double points through HHonors 2x the point winter promotion that runs through the end of March. If that doesn’t convince you, maybe the idea of the scrumptious DoubleTree Cookie at check in will! (Oh I hope this hotel follows traditions and offers the lip-smacking warm cookies!)
