Hyatt Gold Passport emailed some customers yesterday with a targeted summer promotion that offers up to 65,000 bonus points for staying up to 25 qualifying nights (HT: One Mile at a Time).
- 30,000 bonus points after 15 nights
- 15,000 additional points after 20 total nights
- 20,000 additional points after 25 total nights
Others on FlyerTalk received different offers, such as 20,000 points for staying 10 nights. You can visit the offer registration page and enter your Gold Passport number to see if you’re eligible. Registration is required by September 30.
30,000 points is pretty generous and represents an extra 2,000 points per night for the first 15 nights, while the whole 65,000-point offer averages out to 2,600 points per night. For comparison, Diamond members typically receive 1,000 bonus points per stay when they check in as a welcome amenity. I’m not likely to stay 25 nights this summer, but 30,000 is large enough that I’m still very motivated to try for 15 nights.
I remain dubious whether this offer actually is targeted or if it’s available to more people. While I was able to register successfully on the offer page, the offer was not sent to me. In the past I have received error messages when trying to register for offers for which I was ineligible. So either I am eligible and didn’t get the memo or something has changed. I do think that I’ll be able to complete 15 eligible nights this summery anyway, and if it works, well, 30,000 points isn’t anything to sniff at.
