I am a big fan of xkcd, a comic about “romance, sarcasm, math, and language.” It’s just generally geeky, like me, and every now and then it comes out with something travel related. Here’s Monday’s post, finding ways to link all the major subway networks in North America to each other.
Perhaps not the most literal depiction of mass transit, but still fun to look at. For most trips, I usually rely on the iPhone app AllSubway, which has image files of every subway map in the world (as far as I can tell) so you can access them without an active Internet connection.
